A balloon team member with the Reach For the Stars Hot Air Balloon Foundation (Riverside County) finds a way to cool off from all the hard work preparing the balloon for flight. The foundation's mission is to share the joy and excitement of hot air ballooning for people with physical challenges. Reach For the Stars is one of only a handful of wheelchair accessible hot air balloons in the United States, and the only one operating as a non-profit.

Kris lives in Beamount, CA with her husband and is no stranger to the Temecula Hot Air Balloon and Wine Festival, having grown up in the city. She has recently received her balloon piloting license after 10 hours of class instruction followed by 10 hours of supervised balloon flying. "There is nothing like it!" she exclaims.
To the wife of a balloonist... life always looks up.
"My walkie-talkie is on my wife's frequency so she can yell at me!" exclaims the pilot of the hot air balloon 'Peace, Love & Balloons.'
